You should be wearing the following personal protective equipment, when contracted by Fernhill Stone and to comply with SAFEPASS Requirements:

1. Steel Toe Boots
2. Hi visibility Vest
3. Hard Hat
4. Hand Gloves
5. Goggles

When using the grinder or when cutting stone, goggles and gloves must be worn.
When using a stepladder, staging or trestle, ensure the equipment is in good condition and used on a firm level base.
Use ladders/stepladders to gain access to the trestle platform. Ensure that the boards on the trestle are adequately supported and do not have too great an overhang at end supports.
When using the mortar mixer ensure the work area is suitable for the job being done e.g. level ground, clear working area, etc. Secure and immobilise the mixer when left unattended.
When mixing on finished surfaces such as tarmac or patio paving, ensure this area is covered by polythene and washed daily to avoid staining.
